Carousel posts are when you upload several images or graphics as one post, and this forces the user to swipe their finger on your image. To see the next image. If you want the algorithm to love you start creating carousel posts, but do it with the strategy. The types of posts you want to create are easy images with texts that teach your audience something that’s super valuable, right? In the moment, it might be a checklist, a step by step process or tutorial, or even a series of super short videos. Your goal of carousels is for people to save and share your posts. This instantly makes you memorable. Next. I want you to try making your own memes. Memes were super popular on Facebook and they still are, but now they’re popping up all over Instagram, but don’t just take a meme from Google or Facebook.
Think like a business owner, take a piece of your content, something that’s unique to you or something you would say and create your own branded meme. And when you create your memes, you want them to entertain your audience and be relevant. The more playful and fun they are. Your share-ability rate goes up, say hello to more eyeballs on you and more engagement. Alright. Number three, IGTV is still on the rise. Video is proven to outperform any other type of content, but here are some tips to level up your IGTV people are on the go and pretty much suffer from squirrel brain. I know I do. We operate at a paced speed all the time. So who’s going to sit through a 10 minute video. I know I’m not going to, and even anything over five minutes is pushing it. If you’re going to create a video, make it super short and straight to the point.
The sweet spot is between three to four minutes. If your content is much longer than break it up into different videos and create a series, make your IGTV binge worthy, just like Netflix. I’d rather watch a short series on Netflix compared to a four hour long movie. Also to get the engagement, always end your video with some sort of call to action and share your video as a post. When you upload your content, always share your IGTV videos in your newsfeed. The algorithm will love you and reward you for it. All right, last one, Instagram stories stickers because of COVID-19 many small businesses were impacted and on the brink of shutting their doors, Instagram to the rescue, thanks to the release of the support, small business sticker. You can mention the small businesses you love directly in the sticker to give your followers a preview of the account.
Instagram also released new stories, stickers, and profile buttons to buy gift cards, ordering food and donating to fundraisers.
