Today’s episode is such an important one. According to thehotline.org, on average, more than 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the US will experience rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner. That’s 24 people who experience some form of domestic abuse every minute in the US alone.

My guest, Jillian Coburn, has overcome sexual assault and domestic violence. She’s not just an advocate for abused partners but also invented an amazing bag for moms, and written a book. She’s living proof that there’s something beautiful waiting for those who are survivors.

Jillian shares:

  • Her powerful story of overcoming domestic violence and sexual assault
  • All the types of domestic assault that can occur
  • Which action of the abuser can be predictive of death of the abused
  • What to do if you suspect someone is being abused
  • How her invention came to being
  • How helping pass a law in her home state led to the realization that she’d been sexually assaulted years earlier
