Hey, mama. I have another bonus episode for you today and I’m showing up with a little bit of a pep talk. Two of the biggest frustrations or concerns that I hear from you are number one, trying to get all the things done in your business without feeling like you’re on this endless hamster wheel. And number two, you’re frustrated with your Instagram engagement. It seems to be down. So in this pep talk, I’m going to give you a freebie. And the freebie I mentioned in the pep talk is the weekly project workflow for business success. You can snag that in the show notes. And secondly, I talk about the number one thing you need to do right now to save your Instagram engagement.
Today I’m talking about not just one topic, but two topics that are related and it will help you be successful in your business and help you grow your business right here on Instagram. So first I want to let you know that I created a brand new freebie for you. It is called the weekly project workflow for business success. So basically what that is. I created a workflow to help you get your stuff done in the week and make progress. I don’t know about you, but for so many years, I was so frustrated with not seeing progress in profit in my business because I was time-blocking, but I did not have a really good system in place to make sure that I was not only doing the things in my business that needed to get done, but I also wasn’t moving the needle forward.
I wasn’t doing more in my business to help grow my business. So what I did cause I know what it’s like. I have kids at home right now with hybrid learning. I’m trying to juggle them with, you know, on zoom in school. My youngest is on the spectrum. He has autism, so he needs a lot of my help, but I also need to be working in my business. And there’s always that fine. I hate to use the word balance because I don’t believe in the word balance. You will never find a perfect balance, but there’s going to be days that you need to spend more time in your business. There’s going to be more days that you need to spend more time with your family. So I created what’s called weekly project workflow for business success and it’s really quite simple, but it really works.
It’s changed. My business changed how I show up in my business. What you’re going to do is you’re going to have to put on your CEO hat. You have to stop looking at your business. It’s just like a sidekick or a hobby. You have to approach it like a business owner. But in this workbook, I help you brain dump all the non-negotiables that you need to do in your business. And then the next part is you are going to categorize all the things that you need to do, categorize them and assign them to a day of the week. Based on your schedule, based on your family, you weren’t going to time block or schedule all the things that you need to do in your business and how you’re going to move forward around your family. And then what you do is you take all of that and you put it in this awesome Google spreadsheet, which I created for you.
And you’re going to get a copy of that with my new download, it’s called the social or the social. We’re not talking about social media. It’s about the weekly project workflow for business success. I have been using this for the last six months and it hasn’t failed me yet. And I’m giving you a copy. I use it every single day in my business and I’m seeing way more profits in my business than I have for the last two years. Now, the second part of that is we want to grow our business, right? And we want to be working efficiently in our business, but how can we grow our engagement right here on this platform? I’m going to give you the number one thing that you need to be doing on this platform each and every week. And you’re not going to like the answer, but it’s going to help you grow your engagement.
And that is removing followers. Yes. I said it. You need to remove followers. And here’s why if you have so many people following you, but none of them are engaging with you. That is telling the algorithm that the content you’re putting out there isn’t worth to show to anybody else, but you probably have great content. So what can you do go through your follower list, remove the, you know, the accounts that don’t have profile pictures, remove the accounts that you know, for sure are bots remove the accounts that have usernames with all these ridiculous numbers. Most likely those are not real people. And ladies remove the men who are just being creepy. They’re not going to engage with your content. They’re just following you to look at your pretty pictures. Okay? So that’s what you need to do. Go download my workbook for your business success and then start removing those followers.
I remove those followers. I call it a follower audit and I put it in my weekly project workflow. So I know once a week I am being strategic with Instagram and I are removing those followers who aren’t interacting with me. They’re not reading my content. They could care less about my content and that is going to help bump my engagement rate up. The algorithm likes that. And then they’re going to start showing your posts to more people. And that’s how you grow on Instagram.
